The Experience

BIRTH

Birth is a whole-body experience. It is deep and sacred and entirely individual. It spills over with complicated, messy, beautiful full to the brim emotions.

You deserve the birth story you have imagined.  You deserve deep connection, support, and full trust.

You deserve bodily autonomy, exclusive, first right of refusal decision making. You deserve to be heard, to be witnessed, and to be validated.

BIRTH ATTENDANCE

I believe in birth.
I believe in sacred, undisturbed, physiological BIRTH.

BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY

My promise to you is to document from a place of empathy, to hold safe the sacredness of the birth story of this new human.

Your Birth Story Told

  • Every woman is free to make whatever choice is best for them.

However, I no longer support families who are actively planning a hospital birth. Through my near decade long of doing this work, I can no longer be witness to and/or perpetuate the deep wounding and complete disregard for the sacredness of physiological birth that is inherent within the medical paradigm.

  • This does happen. One thing that will never happen is me abandoning my clients. We are together through it.

Medically necessary transfers during labor happen. I am not anti-hospital, I am anti ‘birth conveyor belt’.

  • I am purposefully and unapologetically uncertified. I don’t work for, support, report to, or have affiliation with anyone but the Wholly Wild Women.

That does not mean however that I am uneducated or inexperienced! I would love to share more of my reasons and experience with you, let’s chat!

  • We never venture into parenthood with the idea that loss is possible. However, sadly, it can be. Being faced with unimaginable grief, having to make decisions that no one should ever have to make, while desperately trying to remember each curve, each tiny finger, to store deep in your heart the feeling of touching them, holding them, smelling them it can feel insurmountable. It has been an absolute honor to be asked to come alongside a family during such a time.

My time spent with you, holding you, crying with you, photographing precious memories requires absolutely no compensation, it is the very least I can do.

If you or someone you know has experienced a stillbirth or a diagnosis that will ultimately lead to you having to say goodbye far too soon, please reach out.
