STEP 01.

There is just nothing posed about it!

Those weeks and months after bringing baby home - posed is the last thing on your mind!

When we book your session we pick a time, typically in the mid-morning, that’s really the only thing that is structured! Going with the flow is how newborn sessions should be. I don’t want you to feel any pressure. We take things slowly. Much like with my maternity sessions, we do a few photographs with additional family members but then we take the rest of our time together to sink deep into our mother archetype.

You are still (and will always be) tethered to the human who knows how your heartbeat sounds from the inside. This is a time for tenderness, for skin-to-skin, for healing.

STEP 02.

Stylized BUT not Fake

Who says you can’t feel good in this new form?! There is so much pressure to ‘get back to…..’ I say, relish in every line every bump every extra - honor the body that grew, held safe, and birthed ANOTHER HUMAN into existence.

We talk about how you want to feeeeel during your session. We create the ‘look’ and space to help you settle in and allow natural organic movement between you and your baby.

STEP 03.

Snuggle back into your nest

Leave it to me. Your gallery will be ready for you to swoon over soon!

“When you look back and struggle to recall all of the details of an important time in your life it becomes perfectly clear... the memories are hazy in detail. Photographs are the stone on which memories are sharpened. They hold so much more than a moment, they hold a story, something intangible, something irreplaceable.”
